Making space for new trainees and new technologies
When the Quick Start Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (QSAMTC) opened in 2018 on a 119-acre site in Pooler, Ga., the 50,000-sq.-ft. facility seemed sufficient for handling the manufacturing activities in the region.
Then the winds shifted, markets rose and fell, and Georgia became a national leader in clean technology. Years of speculation turned into reality. One announcement followed another, and then another, as though each wanted to invest more, hire more, and do it fast.
That’s what Quick Start was made for.
As the Hyundai Motor Group announced it was to build a Metaplant in Bryan County, one supplier after another also put stakes in the ground. And they all need help with company-specific training.
In 2022, Quick Start got the word it was not only tasked to build a training center for the Metaplant and affiliates, but also expanding capacity at the QSAMTC.
Check back during the year and watch the future take shape.
