Quick Start’s training development begins with detailed analysis

When Hyundai Motor Group decided to locate in Georgia, Quick Start was ready. The Covid pandemic was still a concern, but following proper protocols, a team from Georgia got their papers in order and traveled to South Korea to begin the first phase of a megaproject: the project study.

To develop company-specific training, Quick Start conducts a detailed analysis of the materials, technology, corporate culture, and the requirements for each job to be created at the proposed facility. For the HMGMA project, a team toured multiple locations in South Korea and spent days in discussions with company subject-matter experts to gather the information needed to develop the customized training plan.

The end results are strong relationships, collaborative spirt, and the technical savvy to support a visionary new industry in Georgia.

A Quick Start project study consists of Quick Start team members visiting a company’s existing operations in order to become familiar with the technology, materials and job tasks that will be the same or similar to that which will be used in the company’s Georgia operation.

Collaborating closely with company leadership and subject-matter experts, Quick Start follows a structured process for identifying how the operation is sequenced, the nature of the products, and what are the critical points where Quick Start training can provide the most value to the new Georgia facility.

Quick Start is a discretionary incentive, meaning that its workforce training services can be broad in scope or focused on particular needs identified by the company.

Often, the new operation in Georgia will involve new technologies different from those at existing facilities. This usually involved increased automation, or a more sophisticated version of existing equipment. What technology will be transfered is identified, as well as areas where new advanced skills will be required. This detail allows Quick Start to developed fully customized, company-specific training.

The project study involves collection of documents, photographs, videos, and interviews with key stakeholders. Often, points in the process are identified that must comply with regulations in the U.S. that aren’t in place outside the country.
