Quick Start strengthens partnership with expanding auto supplier
Quick Start is continuing its longtime partnership with HYUNDAI TRANSYS, this time in a new location.
HYUNDAI TRANSYS, which makes seating systems and powertrains, is a major supplier of Kia Motors in West Point, Ga. It will also be a core affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America near Savannah, Ga.
The Metaplant is slated to start production by early 2025, and Quick Start has already begun providing TRANSYS with company-specific training so companies will be ready when work begins on-site. Topics include seat assembly process on various Hyundai EV models, electrical motor controls, and a manufacturing process overview.
TRANSYS trainees are also provided with safety and organizational development courses, such as Lean, 5S and workplace ethics.
To provide the training, Quick Start is using its main Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Pooler, Georgia, and two interim facilities while the new Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia is under construction adjacent to the Metaplant.
